I don’t know about you guys, but I hate to wear my hair down when it’s hot outside. Here are my favorite updos for a cute, chic summer style.
Slick back
At this point, I’m sure that everyone knows that a great move for an updo is always a slick back bun or ponytail.
I have found that the best way to get a nice and sleek style is to get you hair slightly damp with a spray bottle, ad a little bit of gel, and brush it back with a boar bristle brush. If you don’t have gel, hairspray can also do the trick, especially in a pinch! And if you don’t have a boar bristle brush, don’t worry, any brush or comb should do.
If you have curtain bangs or face framing pieces in you hair, don’t be afraid of a cute clip or bobby pin. If you’re tired of the usual bun or ponytail, try braiding it! I’ve put up to three braid in the pony before!
French or dutch braid
I think this is an underrated and super easy style to do in less than five minutes! A single braid in the back of the head will never miss!
Double braids
These can also be french or dutch, but they can also be two normal pigtail braids. Its a super cute way of making sure your hair is still back while not slicking it to your head.
A french pin or claw clip
I LOVE to pull my hair back with a pin or a clip! It is a cute and chic way to do an updo in less than 30 seconds and you almost alwasy look put together.
